A short story written by kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit at age 11 will be professionally illustrated, published, and released to select bookstores in January. The story is about a fish and shark that become friends despite their parents’ opposition and eventually create peace between their two species. The original story in Hebrew is available online:
The story has already been translated into English, Arabic, and other languages, and has inspired an art exhibit in Nahariya. Organizers hope to bring Arabic copies of the story to the Palestinian Authority, and to bring the art exhibit to the central district.

"Pollard is in jail because he is a Jew, and not because of any crime that he committed."
Pollard is in prison because he spied for a foreign government.
If you want to argue that his sentence is unreasonably long or that he was spying for a friendly government and that ought to be given consideration-I have no argument with you. But to say he’s imprisoned simply for being a Jew is the sort of dishonesty I expect from the PLO.
Hi there, I'm just writing to say I'm happy to hear that Gilad Shalit is still alive! When I heard that Israel were going to exchange a prisoner for some bodies of soldiers I thought that maybe I was wrong in thinking Gilad was alive all this time.. I tihnk about him a lot because he must be suffering so much..

, that book is super sad because it's harsh now because he's in the sharks prison! Guess the Shark's peace treaty was a hunda after all!
