Free GIlad Shalit: Time in Captivity

Poll: Five Years On. What should the Israeli Government do?

What action should the Israeli Government take now that Hamas has clear control of Gaza and it has been 1 year since Gilad Shalit was been kidnapped
Negotiate with Hamas
Negotiate with Hamas, release as many prisoners as it takes
Hold the Hamas Leadership directly accountable
Hold the Leadership accountable and give them one final deadline before military action
Hold Leadership accountable, give deadline for military action and total cessation of all Israeli supplied electricty and Water.

A poem for Gilad Shalit

Here is a poem I wrote for Gilad:

Gilad, please don't cry tonight

The heart of a forlorn nation

beats inside your chest

I wait with you to see the light

while brothers are laid to rest

I just want to see your face again

I only dream to see you smile

What I'd give to enter that lion's den

and just hold your hand a while

Thanks,

Anat Sivan, Tel Aviv

I thought readers of this blog might want to see my recent post regarding Gilad. There will be an open meeting of women on Sept. 4 at Kikar Rabin to discuss options. If you're interested in attending, contact me and I'll put you in touch with the relevant parties.

I am sorry I am not in Israel. I have listened to Gilad's message on Youtube a hundred times and looked at his pictures also...he's such a beautiful young man, an innocent victim of the terror..I wish him health, power to resist, I wish tranquility and serenity to his family to be able to wait for their son in peace, I wish Gilad came home as soon as possible. God bless him and his family and all the Israeli people.

Gilad Shalit is a prisioner of war. He was not 'kidnapped' as the zionists will have everyone believe.

Soldiers are not kidnapped, they are captured. Like always the israeli fascists manipulate and play with words to fool the world.

Gilad Shalit is part of a fascist and racist army that seeks the extermination of Palestine and its people.

He deserves no pity, empathy or support. For supporting him is to support Israeli Apartheid and all Israeli crimes against humanity.

Gilad Shalit is one less fascist off the field!
